Jean Beauduin
(1851 Verviers, Belgium - 1916 Paris, France)
Jean Beauduin got his eduction at the École des Beaux-arts in Anvers. Very young, he leaves his native Belgium to settle in Paris. Thanks to a country painting, which hardly appeals to delicate colours of the end of the day, he reaches to foist oneself on the Parisian and foreign Salons. Indeed, his Spa, Giverny or Sannois views, his naked and portraits are rather subtly shaded than this gloomy Fin d’Après-midi d’été. Next to his painter activity, Jean Beauduin, collaborates also at the illustration of several newspaper such as: La Chronique Parisienne and Le Figaro.
